Cape Cod Museum of Art Kicks of 2019 with Music Series

HYANNIS – The Cape Cod Museum of Art’s popular “Music & More!” Concert series, opens for the New Year with a spirited performance of classic Chicago blues by Jerry Portnoy’s blues quartet.

Blues harp musician Jerry Portnoy grew up in the blues-rich atmosphere of Chicago.

He was a member of the fabled Muddy Waters Blues Band, led the legendary Blues Band, and was a featured member of the Eric Clapton Band for four years.

Portnoy, on harmonica and vocals, will be joined by Rick Russell on guitar and vocals, Bob Worthington on bass and Mark Texeira on drums.

The 13 concert music & more series offers a great variety of musical performances that include pop, folk, blues, classical, jazz and more.

After the performance, guests will have the opportunity to mingle with the musicians over coffee, tea and cookies.

Tickets are $18; $15 for CCMOA members and $150 for the full series. Reservations recommended. See the full schedule and order tickets at www.ccmoa.org.
