BREWSTER – The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster is holding two Birdwatching for Beginners workshops this fall.

Gretchen Moran Towers, who calls herself a Cape Cod Bird Nerd, will present basic skills that will help identify local birds through sight and sound.

Towers is a Naturalist for the museum and says she has a passion for bringing birds, nature and nice people together.

Following the presentation, attendees will head outdoors to view the birds in their natural habitat and practice the methods that have just been learned.

The class will also include a discussion of ideas for promoting backyard birdwatching.

Birdwatching for Beginners will be held on Thursday, November 5 and Thursday, December 3 from 10 to 11 a.m.

Anyone is welcome to attend and the class is free with museum admission.
