Cape Cod National Seashore to Demolish Nauset Light Beach Restrooms

EASTHAM – The Cape Cod National seashore will demolish the Nauset Light Beach restroom building, changing room and septic tank later this month.

Seashore officials say that erosion in recent years has created a public safety issue, requiring the facility to be demolished.

The project is expected to take two months to complete.

The beach access stairs will also be removed temporarily to allow access to the work area.

The National Park Service will also install a new path to provide visitor access from the parking lot to the beach.

The parking lot will be open during the duration of the project, closing only when worksite conditions are hazardous to the public.
