WEST BARNSTABLE – The third annual Startup Weekend Cape Cod is taking place this weekend.
Participants will pitch their ideas to a panel tonight. Afterwards, they will be put into teams and will spend the weekend honing ideas, before pitching to the panel again on Sunday.
“A lot of people go and do 50 page business plans and then they squirrel away in their basement for six months. This approach is very much a hands-on, get-out-of-the-building, kind of approach, and that’s what we’re trying to teach people. There’s a better way to do startups now,” said event organizer Peter Karlson.
The event is being held at Cape Cod Community College.
