Cape Cod Technology Council to Offer STEM Scholarships

SOUTH YARMOUTH – The Cape Cod Foundation and the Cape Cod Technology Council are partnering to award $1,000 in STEM scholarships.

The David Willard Cape Cod Technology Council STEM Scholarship Fund was established for high school seniors who plan to major in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math fields at Cape Cod Community College.

The scholarship fund was named after Willard, a long-time board member of the council.

“We want to encourage and enable students to pursue careers in these fields,” said Bert Jackson, the council’s board president.

“We also want to recognize students who have been active in the community. David Willard has enriched organizations across the Cape with his years of volunteerism, and we’d like to honor students who are community-minded like him.”

The application process is entirely online at capecodfoundation.org. Applications must be submitted by midnight on April 1.

Recipients will be notified in late spring.
