BOSTON – This week governor Charlie Baker announced millions in tax credits for more than three dozen community development organizations across Massachusetts, including two on the Cape.
Under the Community Investment Tax Credit Program, Cape corporations Housing Assistance Corporation and Island Housing Trust both received $150,000 in tax credit allocations.
Governor Bake believes the tax credit program goes a long way in driving economic growth.
“This program encourages private investment in CDC’s, increasing their capacity and ability to work with public, private and nonprofit organizations to execute a wide variety of programs,” Governor Baker said.
The CITC program awards up to $150,000 in credit allocations to certified community development corporations.
