Steven J. Coyne, 26, and Jessica M. Mosher, 25, both of Evergreen Street in Kingston are being charged with trafficking heroin 36-100 grams; conspiracy to violate the Controlled Substance Act, and possession of heroin.

On Tuesday, officers of the Massachusetts State Police Cape Cod Drug Task Force and Kingston Police concluded a two month investigation on an illegal heroin distribution organization that they say was responsible for delivering approximately one-half kilogram (500 grams) of heroin to Cape Cod for redistribution each month.

This amount has a street retail value on Cape Cod of approximately $40,000.

The investigation which was initiated by Task Force Officer Detective Sergeant Paul Judge Jr of Brewster Police Department, ended when officers encountered Coyne and Mosher in the parking lot of their apartment building in Kingston.

During a subsequent search of the couple’s apartment, an additional quantity of heroin (approximately 10 grams) was located as well as approximately $3,000 in currency.

The couple were arrested, transported to Kingston Police Department where they were booked and held on bail for arraignment at Plymouth District Court.

On Wednesday November 12, after their appearance at Plymouth District Court, the pair was held on $20,000 cash bail.

This investigation is ongoing, and more charges are anticipated.
