Cape & Islands D.A. Endorses Lindstrom in Republican Senate Race

Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe

BARNSTABLE – The Cape and Islands top law enforcement officer has announced his endorsement of Beth Lindstrom in the race for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination.

District Attorney Michael O’Keefe, a fellow Republican, cited what he said is Lindstrom’s conservative record and support for the men and woman of law enforcement in giving her his support.

Lindstrom is running against John Kingston and Geoff Diehl in Tuesday’s primary. The winner will face incumbent Democrat Elizabeth Warren.

“I have known Beth Lindstrom for many years. She is a friend who shares our conservative values. She cares deeply about Massachusetts and where we are headed as a state and a country,” O’Keefe said in a statement.

“Beth opposes sanctuary cities, will fight for lower taxes and less regulation. She will support the men and women of law enforcement in carrying out their jobs.”

In accepting the endorsement, Lindstrom said in a statement, “I have great respect and appreciation for the job that law enforcement does. Recent events have reminded us of the sacrifices that you make to keep the rest of us safe.”

“As a candidate for U.S. Senate, I am proud to receive this endorsement from District Attorney Michael O’Keefe, and ready to partner with him to keep our Commonwealth safe.”
