Cape League Announces Celebrity Game to Benefit Spaulding Rehab

HYANNIS – The Cape Cod Baseball League will put on a celebrity softball game this summer to raise money for a good cause.

The Cape Cod Celebrity Softball Game will be held on Friday, July 21 at 6 p.m. at McKeon Park as the league kicks off their All-Star weekend festivities. The game will serve as a fundraiser for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod.

The league has announced a number of committed celebrities that will play in the fundraiser, including Red Sox great and former Hyannis Met Jason Varitek, Olympic medalist Nancy Kerrigan, and former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak.

More participants will be announced in the future.

Tickets are $25 and include admission to the Cape League All-Star game as well, which is Saturday July 22 at Spillane Field in Wareham. Tickets are available at allstarcapecod.org.

Children under the age of 10 will get in free.

The celebrity game will be followed by an after party at 8 p.m. at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum. A kids clinic will be held before the game at 4 p.m.
