Cape Light Compact Co-Hosting Informational Forum

energy efficient lightbulbHYANNIS – The Cape Light Compact is preparing a new three-year plan to guide its energy efficiency programs for Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard.

The Compact is seeking input from the region’s builders, remodelers and design professionals.

“Every day, builders and remodelers are on the front lines with property owners making decisions about lighting, heating, cooling and weatherization,” said Compact Administrator Maggie Downey.

“Who better to ask about ways to enhance our programs?”

The Compact is co-hosting an informational forum with the Homebuilders and Remodelers Association of Cape Cod on July 28 at Shepley Showcase in Hyannis at 4:30 p.m.

Launched in 2001, the Compact’s energy efficiency programs have won numerous national and state awards.

Compact officials say that every dollar invested in energy efficiency generates three to four times that amount of savings over the lifetime of the installed measure.
