Cape Light Compact Offering Rebates for Old Refrigerators and Freezers

CAPE COD-  That old refrigerator or freezer taking up space in your home or office may actually be worth some cash according to the Cape Light Compact.

Starting May 14th and running to June 15th, CLC will offer a $100 rebate to residential and small business electric customers who sign up to recycle an old refrigerator or freezer through their recycling program.

To be eligible for this offer, units must be between 10 and 30 cubic feet, and must be plugged in, clean, and in working condition when vendors arrive.

Customers can schedule a pickup online or by phone, and an authorized vendor will pick up the unit at no-cost.

Those who schedule a pickup during the limited-time promotion period will receive a $100 rebate in the mail.

Although customers that schedule a pickup after the promotion period will still be eligible for the standard $50 rebate, only those that call to schedule or signup online during the promotion time frame are eligible for the $100 rebate.

Cape Light Compact will provide a rebate on up to two units per residential or commercial electric account per calendar year, and customers cannot combine rebates with any other energy efficiency offer.

Customers can schedule a pickup online at www.capelightcompact.org or by phone at 1-877-889-4761.

Units must also be picked up by July 31st 2018 to be eligible for rebate.
