Cape Symphony to Perform at Cape Cod National Seashore

EASTHAM – Grab your lawn chairs, a blanket, and maybe even a picnic dinner, as the Cape Symphony Orchestra is heading to the Cape Cod National Seashore for the third annual ‘Symphony at the Seashore’ concert this month, alongside some very special guests.

“Our visit is going to be a special one because we are going to be pairing with the United States Airforce Band,” said Conductor and Artistic Director Jung Ho Pak.

“I don’t know if people realize there are some amazing musicians, some incredibly talented, expressive virtuosos, who deicide that the military experience is really a good one. We are going to be sitting side-by-side with these fabulous musicians as a symbol of unity,” added Pak.

This free family-friendly performance, presented by the National Park Service will highlight everything fun about summer on Cape Cod including beautiful setting, artful collaboration and quintessential summer music, and more.

“As far as preforming outside and when the weather is wonderful, is magical. You are under the stars, people are gathered together. It is a way for us to serve the community and this particular concert is expected to have a lot of first-time visitors,” said Pak.

Admittance for the event is free, but bench and lawn chair seating available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with handicap options also being available for those who need them.

Musicians take their place on August 24th, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Salt Pond Visitor Center Amphitheater (with a rain location of Nauset High School).

The Salt Pond Visitor Center Amphitheater is located at 50 Nauset Road at the intersection of Route 6 in Eastham.

Parking is available at Salt Pond Visitor Center or the nearby Little Creek Parking Area, with free shuttle to and from the event. Those attending are encouraged to bring flashlights for ease in returning to vehicles.
