Cape Symphony to Present ‘Bach and Forth’

HYANNIS – The Cape Symphony will be presenting “Bach and Forth” next Saturday and Sunday.

The show highlights some of the most notable pieces from composer Johann Sebastian Bach. Modern renditions and interpretations of his work will also be featured.

It is the first performance from the Cape Symphony that features exclusively music from Bach.

The performance on November 2 is set to begin at 7:30 p.m., while the November 3 show is scheduled for 3 p.m. Both performances of “Bach and Forth” will be at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center in Hyannis.

The Cape Symphony is also accepting donations of gift cards from local grocery stores and food retailers during their showings of “Bach and Forth” to benefit their Thanksgiving food drive.

Cash and checks made out to the Cape Symphony are also acceptable. All donations will be given to food pantries across Cape Cod prior to the holiday.

Donations will also be accepted at the Cape Symphony’s Hyannis office on Falmouth Road until November 1.
