Cape Symphony Travels to France in its Latest “Passport” Concert

BARNSTABLE – The Cape Symphony will present another enthralling edition of its popular “Passport” series with an adventure through France.

It started with a trip to Italy in 2012-2013 and since then the Cape Symphony has brought Cape audiences to Spain, England and along the Silk Road for musical adventures all over the globe.

This year, Artistic Director and Conductor Jung-Ho Pak invited internationally known pianist Lise de la Salle and Boston-based soprano Kim Lamoureux to help him and the orchestra paint musical imagery with a collection of pieces from various French periods and composers.

The concert will be a “greatest hits” of France, according to Pak.

Then Pak will turn his attention to French Impressionism with the most famous work of the period, “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun” by Claude Debussy, which is also a showpiece for the orchestra.

The Cape Symphony is proud to feature Lise de la Salle and Soprano Kim Lamoureux in Passport to France: Boléro! on Saturday, November 12 & Sunday, November 13.
