Vietnam Veterans Day Ceremony Planned for March

BARNSTABLE – The Cape Cod Vet Center will host a Vietnam Veterans Day Ceremony at the Barnstable Senior Center this year.

By a Presidential proclamation made in 2012, March 29 is recognized as Vietnam Veterans Day. The day commemorates when the last American troops left Vietnam on March 29, 1973.

“We want to thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War for their service and sacrifice on behalf of our nation,” said Director of the Cape Cod Vet Center Jocelyn Hoaward.

All Vietnam Veterans from the Cape and Islands, family members, veterans of all eras, and members of the community are invited to the event.

It kicks off at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29 at the Barnstable Senior Center.
