CAPEWIDE – The Cape’s first Hydrangea Festival kicks off Friday and will last for 10 days.

Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce CEO Wendy Northcross said the festival will bring visitors on tours through lush gardens.

“We have over 78 gardens that have been assembled from across the Cape and Plymouth, places you normally can’t get access to, with really interesting itineraries,” Northcross said.

Guests can explore gardens with titles such as “For the Love of Trees” and “A Peaceful Sanctuary for All Seasons.”

Northcross said the event has an important nuance.

“Because these are private gardens, we don’t publish the address of the garden tour until the day before, so you’ll need to check the specific address of each tour the day before,” she said.

The festival runs from July 10 through the 19. A full list of tours can be found at capecodhydrangeafestival.com.
