CARE for the Cape and Islands Presents 2018 Stewardship Awards

YARMOUTH PORT – CARE for the Cape and Islands presented their 2018 Stewardship Awards at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History earlier this month.

The stewardship award is presented to a business or organization on the Cape and Islands that shows a commitment to caring for the Cape and Islands. The awarded business has adopted day-to-day practices that fit CARE’s mission to preserve and enhance its natural environment, culture or history.

On November 1, Michael Morrison, RideAway Adventures received the 2018 business organization award. For the first time, CARE also presented a Youth Stewardship Award to recognize the contributions of a local youth (18 or younger) who also embodies the same qualities. This year’s award was presented to Lucy Swain.

Each fall CARE for the Cape and Islands seeks nominations for a Stewardship Award to be presented at an annual Fall Event. Beginning in 2018, a business or organization and a youth who shares the same values will be recognized.
