Cape League to Honor Sgt. Sean Gannon During 2018 Season

WEST YARMOUTH – The Cape Cod Baseball League will honor Yarmouth Police Sgt. Sean Gannon throughout the 2018 season.

A commemorative badge pin will be worn on the hats of all Cape League players. The league also purchased 5,000 pins to be sold with proceeds to benefit the Yarmouth Police Foundation.

The first pin was presented to Yarmouth Police Chief Frank Frederickson during the league’s season kickoff brunch.

The YD Red Sox will also host Sgt. Sean Gannon Night on July 8 and the team will wear special “Gannon” game jerseys.

Gannon was shot and killed while on duty in April while serving an arrest warrant at a home in Marstons Mills.
