Cape Cod Real Estate Sales Remain Strong

WEST YARMOUTH – The Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors reported that 456 homes, including 339 single-family homes and 117 condominiums, were sold in September.

Single-family homes on Cape Cod were sold at a median price of $452,000, and the median price for condominiums was $347,000.

September saw fewer single-family homes sold compared to last year (382 in 2018) but more condominiums sold (95 in 2018). In September 2018, single-family homes sold for a median price of $439,500, while condos were sold at a median price of $275,000.

There was a 13.1% decrease of new single-family home listings this September from last September and a 22.8% increase in new condominium listings; 522 new single-family homes and 124 new condominiums were put on the market over the course of the month.

The Realtors Market Makers Confidence Index dropped four points from August, down to 62 out of 100.
