EASTHAM – The Community Development Partnership in Eastham will host a meeting Monday for first-time homebuyers who plan to participate in the organization’s online education course.
The online course is an extension of the CDP First-Time Homebuyer workshop series and is offered to individuals who are not able to attend the three-session in-person workshop.
Participants must complete the online program and attend the meeting to receive a certificate of completion.
The course covers credit health and budgeting, mortgage process and options, finding the right home and making an offer, appraisals, home inspection, legal procedures and protections, insurance protection, home energy audits and savings, and advice about ongoing homeownership.
The meeting is from 6 to 7 p.m. at the CDP on Main Street Mercantile in Eastham.
The homebuyer education course has received the Massachusetts Homeownership Collaborative’s “Seal of Approval” from the Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association. Graduates are eligible for discounted mortgage products.
The course costs $100 per household and interested buyers can register on the CDP website under “Upcoming Events” at www.capecdp.org.
