ORLEANS – Jacques Lee Wood, who plays a variety of cellos on past and present compositions, will join the Cape Symphony’s principal clarinetist Mark Miller and guest pianist Amy Yang, to perform a concert showcasing the capabilities of the cello, including the electric, on Sunday march 11th at 3:00pm.
It is part of the symphony’s Nth Degree series.
Artistic Director and Conductor Jung-Ho Pak said that Wood is one of the most energetic and poetic cellists he’s seen in a long time, adding that he’s a rock star at his craft.
He is a graduate of the New England Conservatory who also plays mandolin and banjo as well as being a vocalist.
All Nth degree performances take place at the Federated Church of Orleans.
