BOURNE – A centennial celebration will be held Saturday afternoon at Otis Air National Guard Base honoring the 101st Intelligence Squadron.
Formed in August of 1917, the 101st Aero Squadron was responsible for providing airpower for the Army’s 26th Infantry Division, also known as the “Yankee Division.”
The squadron was formed at Kelly Field, Texas but was manned primarily with personnel from New England.
The celebration is at 1 p.m.
