Center for Coastal Studies Plans October Fundraises

sk_chatham-morning-beach-walk_9-6-16-5PROVINCETOWN – The Center for Coastal Studies will hold two events this month focusing on the environment and helping Cape nonprofits.

On Thursday, October 20 at 6 p.m., the Cape Cinema will screen the documentary Sonic Sea. The 2015 film focuses on the ocean’s delicate acoustic habitat and the impacts human disturbance.

Tickets are $15 per person, with a portion of proceeds benefitting the Center. The Cape Cinema is located at 35 Hope Lane, Dennis.

The 2016 Trash Bash, hosted by Nauset Disposal at 3 Rayber Road, Orleans, will fundraise for Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Cape Cod and the Islands, Cape Cod Cares for the Troops, Cape and Islands United Way, Wild Care Cape Cod and the Center for Coastal Studies.

The bash begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 21.
