Center for Coastal Studies Receives Grant Funding for Water Quality Monitoring

PROVINCETOWN – The Massachusetts Environmental Trust awarded the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown a grant for its Water Quality Monitoring Program.

The $37,484 in funding will be used to study sources of nitrogen in coastal waters around Cape Cod.

The funding was provided through the trust’s specialty license plates.

The trust will provide around $500,000 in grants to 15 organizations this year.

Plates cost $100, $40 of which is donated to the trust to fund water-focused environmental programs.

Plates can be purchased online or at local RMV locations.
