HYANNIS – CHAMP Homes has received a donation of $12,000 from the Hyannis Rotary Club to purchase a client support van.

The non-profit organization provides housing for about 50 at-risk individuals suffering from mental, physical and emotional challenges or are recovering from addiction.

The van will assist CHAMP Homes to get its residents to medical appointments and events, and deliver supplies, clothing and food.

“We’re tremendously grateful for the generous Hyannis Rotary Good Works Fund donation,” said Beth Wade, the executive director of CHAMP Homes. “With the up to 50 residents we serve here at CHAMP Homes, it’s essential they’re able to get to work or medical appointments and so much more. Having reliable transportation is key every day.”

CHAMP Homes was established in 1991 and has helped over 2,500 individuals on Cape Cod.

The keys to the van were presented at a recent Hyannis Rotary Club Meeting.
