CHATHAM – The Addison Art Gallery and Chatham Bars Inn are partnering for an exhibit event later this month paying tribute to “The Outermost House.”

The book by Henry Beston details his time in a small house on the dunes of Cape Cod, studying and observing the natural wonders of the area.

“The Outermost House” is considered a seminal work of contemporary environmental movements and one of the reasons for the formation of the Cape Cod National Seashore.

Outermost Inspirations will be held at the Chatham Bars Inn on Friday, March 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. as part of its Friday Art Series.

The event will include an exhibit, artist demonstrations and live music.

Artists from the Addison Art Gallery and the community will be featured and contemporary expressionist Susan Overstreet and nationally acclaimed pastelist Amy Sanders will demonstrate their techniques.

Other artists attending include David Burns, Maryalice Eizenberg, Steve Kennedy, Marc Kundmann, John Murphy, Andrea Petitto, Paul Schulenburg and Skowron.

The event also includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a glass of bubbly.
