Chatham Fund Accepting Grant Applications

CHATHAM – The Chatham Fund of the Cape Cod Foundation is accepting grant applications from non-profit organizations serving the town.

The fund’s Advisory Committee will consider proposals for all types of projects that support Chatham residents, but priority will be given to proposals that address hunger, children’s needs, the environment and other social needs, including but not limited to housing, healthy-aging, transportation and economic security.

The application process is entire online at capecodfoundation.org, and the deadline to apply is October 15.

This is the sixth year of grantmaking by the fund. Last year, it awarded $30,000 to ten local nonprofit organizations.

The fund was started by a group of residents through the Cape Cod Foundation to build a permanent endowment for Chatham through private donations and to provide grants to nonprofit organizations that enhance the quality of life in town.

Since 2013, the fund has invested $92,845 back into the community.

Anyone interested in donating to The Chatham Fund can contract Kristin O’Malley, Foundation President and CEO. Donations can be made online at chathamfund.org, or by mailing a check, payable to The Chatham Fund, to: The Cape Cod Foundation; 261 Whites Path, Unit 2; South Yarmouth, MA 02664.
