Chatham Man Transported by Medflight to Boston Hospital After Fall

chatham fireCHATHAM – A 66 year old Chatham man was transported by Medflight helicopter to a Boston hospital Friday morning after falling down the stairs at his home.

Chatham firefighters received the call around 7 a.m. and said that the man had fallen down a full flight of basement stairs overnight and was found by his wife in the morning.

Emergency personnel treated the man at the home before transporting him to Chatham Municipal Airport, when he was then flown to Boston Medical Center.

The Chatham Fire Department said that the man suffered potentially life-threatening injuries but have not been given an update on the man’s condition since he has been at the Boston hospital.
