CHATHAM – The Chatham Police Department is still accepting applications for the 2017 Citizens Police Academy.
The Citizens Police Academy is a 10-week program, held on Monday evenings from 6pm-9pm at the police department starting on January 23, 2017 for citizens who want an in depth look at the Chatham Police Department.
Each week, participants are provided valuable information about the day-to-day operations of the police department on topics such as; Criminal Law, Traffic Enforcement, Narcotics & Field Investigations, Domestic Violence, Crash Investigation & Reconstruction, Ethics, Training & Recruitment, Crime Scenes and many more.
The program is free and refreshments are served. Please note that in an effort to maximize effectiveness, space is limited to fifteen (15) participants.
Applications are available in person at the police department on George Ryder Rd.
