Chatham Police Warn of Counterfeit Bills

CHATHAM – Chatham police are warning the public about counterfeit $20 bills making their way around town.

Three bills were passed at two businesses over the weekend and were detected later, according to Chatham police.

All the bills detected so far have had the same serial number: FI99469280A, series 2006.

The only suspect is possibly a white male between 18 and 22 years of age.

Anyone that comes in contact with a counterfeit bill or has any information should contact Chatham police.
