Chatham Releases Another Sewer Update

CHATHAM – The Chatham sewer construction contractor says that weather permitting, he will continue with just one primary crew.

Gravity sewer work on Janes Way will continue through the 6th. There will also be intermittent drainage work at the landing on Oyster Pond Furlong.  Next week, gravity sewer installation will commence on Tabitha Terrace.

Mixed in with these activities will be testing, invert installation, raising castings, and general cleanup.  These will take place at a variety of locations.

The roads affected by construction will be open nights, weekends, and holidays. Motorists in need of assistance can avail themselves of signage and police details.

Normal work hours are 7 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday but Work may occasionally be extended to 7 PM.  As always, schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions.

The town is encouraging folks to visit the sewer construction project web site for updated schedule information at: http://www.chathamscproject.info, and is thanking the public for their patience and cooperation during the project, which will help to restore and protect the environment.
