Chatham Residents Asked to Conserve Water

CHATHAM – Water and Sewer Commissioners in Chatham are asking residents to conserve water by instituting voluntary conservation measures.

Residents are being asked to institute an odd-even watering policy; odd numbered address on odd days and even days for even addresses, no washing of driveways or sidewalks, limiting watering of lawns and shrubs to no more than one inch and only watering between 6 pm and midnight.

The policy will be in effect until September 30th.
