Chatham Sewer Construction Update

CHATHAM – The Town of Chatham has announced that sewer construction will continue for the next several weeks, in an effort to minimize impacts to road re-paving scheduled after Columbus Day.

From now until July 20th crews will be completing installation of low pressure sewer, sewer laterals, and water main on Shattuck Place, Shattuck Lane, Grist Mill Lane, Tide Mill Lane, Wind Mill, and Wineberry Way.

Following completion of the above work, the contractor will be installing 3 sewer laterals on Depot Road, and several water services on Janes Way.

The contractor will also be performing testing, invert installation, raising castings, and general cleanup at various locations.

Roads affected by construction will be open nights, weekends, and holidays to all traffic with normal work hours running from 7 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to Friday, weather permitting.

Work may extend to 7 PM in special circumstances.

Change-over of water services from the old main to new main will take place in the fall.
