CHATHAM – Chatham voters tossed an incumbent from office in Thursday’s election.
Seth Taylor was defeated by Shareen Davis, a local graphic designer and photographer, by a vote of 1,289 to 706.
The selectman’s race was the only contested one on the ballot.
Chatham voters also approved several ballot questions, including a tax override to pay for an expansion of the town’s sewer system that was approved at town meeting.
A separate tax override ballot question seeking money for waterfront improvements also passed.
A third, non-binding question, asking Governor Charlie Baker to support moving spent fuel rods at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant into a permanent facility was approved.
