Chatham’s Mitchell River Bridge Closing for Repairs

CHATHAM-  Officials with MassDOT and SPS New England, have announced that the Mitchell River Bridge in Chatham will be closed to all forms of transportation beginning Wednesday June 27th– Thursday the 28th and possibly Friday the 29th.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. with the bridge re-opening each evening after that day’s repairs have been completed.

The closure stems from crews having to preform adjustments and operating condition improvements on the structure.

During work, traffic on Bridge Street will be limited to local residents and businesses only.
