COTUIT – A comical music revue, a spoof of 1960s televised Christmas specials, will be performed next month at the Cotuit Center for the Arts.
“Hope for the Holidays” will run from December 6 to 30 in the Black Box Theater. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
The writer of the show, Jo Brisbane, adapted “Hope for the Holidays” from her full-length play “The Hope Henderson Show.”
The characters inhabit an imaginary television station, located in Nowhere, U.S.A, and Hope Henderson is the fictional TV Hostess.
The show also includes familiar and obscure holiday music for the spoof and an original theme song.
Tickets for “Hope for the Holidays” are $20, $15 for members and can be purchased at artsonthecape.org.
