‘Christmas Shorts’ Returns to Cotuit Center for the Arts

COTUIT – The holiday season is in full force and the Cotuit Center for the Arts has brought back “Christmas Shorts.”

The five holiday comedies by Emmy Award-winning TV writer and playwright Matt Hoverman and directed by Melinda Gallant will be performed Thursdays through Sundays through December 22.

The naughty-and-nice collection of plays look at traditional holiday themes in a whole new way, commenting on family, the nativity, Christmas cards, relationships and the sex lives of elves.

Gallant says the show fun, silly and a little naughty, but also makes the audience think.

The shorts main message is to not take the Christmas so seriously and to just have fun and enjoy the moment.

Tickets are $18, $15 for members and can be purchased online at artsonthecape.org. Thursday through Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays are at 1 p.m.
