Class of 23 Firefighters to Graduate From State Academy

fire department patchBOURNE – Twenty-three firefighters from 16 Massachusetts fire departments, including one from Cape Cod, are expected to graduate from the state’s firefighting academy this week.

The firefighters include 22 men and one woman from departments in Bourne, Hanson and 14 other communities.

The firefighters will receive certificates from State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan and Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Director George D. Kramlinger at a ceremony to be held 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the Department of Fire Services in Stow.

The ceremony will feature an honor guard, the posting of the colors and a keynote speech from Clinton Fire Chief John McLaughlin.
