BREWSTER – A popular art program returns to The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster this fall.

Drawing and Painting from Nature with Eve Aspinwall will be held on Thursday mornings for eight weeks in September and October.

The course is intended for adults who are interested in experiencing nature as an avenue for art and self-expression while developing drawing and painting skills.

The classes will demonstrate basic tools, materials and techniques and students will be free to experiment with color media of their choice, including watercolor, color pencils, pastel and acrylic.

Part of each class will be used to study examples of various artists’ methods of creating images based on the observation of the natural world.

Students will also be able to work outside when there is nice weather.

Beginners and artists of all skill levels are welcome.

The classes are from 9 to 11 a.m. every Thursday from September 8 through October 27. Space is limited to 12 students per session.

The cost is $175 for the entire series or $30 per individual class.
