BOSTON – A Coast Guard helicopter crew from Air Station Cape Cod assisted with the evacuation of two men off their sailboat on Friday.

Their sailboat ran hard aground near Lovells Island in Boston Harbor around 1 p.m.

Due to low tide, nearby boat crews and a commercial salvage company vessel could not reach the sailboat.

The MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter launched at 4:40 p.m. to evacuate the men from their sailboat.

No injuries were reported.
