Coast Guard Searches for 3 Men in Cape Cod Bay

SANDWICH – The Coast Guard is searching for three missing boaters in Cape Cod Bay.

A friend of the crew aboard the 23-foot vessel Dad Sea Cave reported to watchstanders Tuesday night around 7 p.m. that Carlos Amaral, Dylan Amaral and Mario Fialho never returned from their fishing trip.

The missing men’s truck and trailer is still parked at Sandwich Marina. The crew was expected to return from their fishing trip around 2 p.m.

A 45-foot response boat crew from Station Cape Cod Canal, a 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew from Station Provincetown, and an HC-144 Ocean Sentry crew from Air Station Cape Cod are searching Cape Cod Bay from Sandwich to Provincetown.

Anyone with information regarding the missing crew is asked to contact Coast Guard Sector Southeastern New England command center at 508-457-3211.
