Coast Guard to hold Boating Safety Class

EASTHAM – In an effort to keep recreational boaters safe the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will hold a safety class later this month.

“About Boating Safety” is a fast-paced and in-depth class which covers federal and state boating laws, required equipment, navigation, handling emergencies and paddle craft safety.

The $40 class, which is taught by certified Coast Guard instructors, is August 19 at the Eastham Public Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The course is open to individuals 12 years old and older. Class size is limited and registration is required.
