Coastal Flood Warning Issued for Sunday High Tide

HYANNIS – The major nor’easter which has left thousands without power and will still impact the region’s coastline Sunday.

A Coastal Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Eastern Massachusetts including Cape Cod and the Islands from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m.

Minor to lower moderate coastal flooding is likely for today’s today high tide cycle.

Typical low lying areas will most likely see inundation as well as locations that have received breaches in dunes and seawalls.

While this high tide will not have as large of an impact as the last two days, some locations are more vulnerable given the impacts from this long duration event.
