Coastal Storm Causes Ferry Service Disruptions

HYANNIS – The coastal storm is causing issues for ferry passengers between Cape Cod and the Islands.

The Steamship Authority has canceled all Nantucket route trips for the rest of Wednesday and Martha’s Vineyard trips are being diverted from Oak Bluffs to Vineyard Haven.

Hy-Line Cruises has also canceled high speed trips between Hyannis and Nantucket for the rest of the day.

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning from 2 a.m. Thursday through 6 a.m. Friday.

Cancelations should be expected all day Thursday and into Friday.
