DARTMOUTH – A misprinted sign was installed last week in Dartmouth telling drivers that Interstate 195 will take you to some place called “Cod Cape.”
Liddell Brothers, a Halifax-based company contracted by the state, misprinted “Cape Cod” on the road sign. Apparently nobody noticed and the sign went up anyway.
MassDOT has apologized for the mistake. The sign has since been removed.
Officials say they are reviewing their approval process for installing road signs.
