COMM Fire Crews Investigate Gas Leak at Bank

004MARSTONS MILLS- COMM Fire crews were on the scene of a gas leak at a bank in Marstons Mills this evening.

Fire officials say that an elderly woman driving a Toyota Sierra lost control of her vehicle, jumped the curb and hit the generator on the outside of the bank, knocking the generator off its platform, which pulled the gas line that was feeding it.

COMM fire crews arrived on scene and checked the bank and the Emerald Physicians location in the shopping plaza for any high gas readings.

After ventilating both locations, firefighters cleared the scene and National Grid capped the leak.

The driver of the Toyota was not injured and was not transported.

The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the location.
