CENTERVILLE – The Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills firefighters union has endorsed Mark Forest for Barnstable County Commission.
The organization cited Forest’s support for additional funding for firefighter training and resources, as well as new ideas for the fire training academy.
“He brings excellent credentials to the office of County Commissioner,” said Enrique Arrascue, the President of Local 2346. “He did a good job in the Town Manager’s office in Provincetown, and helped thousands of area residents cut through bureaucratic red tape as Director of the Cape office for Congressman Gerry Studds and also as chief of staff with Congressman Delahunt shows that he knows the Cape, our issues and how to get things done. This county needs someone who is results oriented and brings the experience and the ability to do that while keeping a budget balanced.”
Forest, incumbent Mary Pat Flynn, Ron Beaty, and Linda Bond are running for two seats on the Commission.
