Community Development Partnership Offering Homebuyer Educational Course

EASTHAM – Buying a home is a daunting proposition, especially for first time homebuyers. However, the Community Development Partnership offers workshops throughout the year to make the process easier.

The three-session course covers everything from credit health and budgeting; mortgage process and options; finding the right home and making an offer; appraisals; home inspection; legal procedures and protections; insurance protection; home energy audits and savings; ongoing homeownership.

“The purpose of the workshop is really to help people figure out exactly what they can afford,” said Andrea Aldana, CDP’s Director of Housing Advocacy.

“How to get the right loan for their own financial situation and just set themselves up for success in the home buying process,” she said.

The next available session will be offered in December, however the Eastham-based organization also offers an online version of the course. For more information go to www.capecdp.org.
