MASHPEE – In celebration of this year’s ‘National Health Center Week,’ officials with the Community Health Center of Cape Cod dedicated a portion of their outreach and enrollment facility to founder Mary Ann Waygan.
This decision was made in an effort to honor Waygan’s initial vision of providing quality care for all. The newly named ‘Mary Ann Waygan Center for Health Access’ is located in CHC’s Bourne office and will eventually be staffed with three patient engagement specialists.
These individuals will be trained to ensure patients receive proper care at the right time and in the right place, based on their unique needs.
CHC is a non-profit federally qualified health provider that allows health care access for both adults, and children, enrolled in either MassHealth, Commonwealth Care, Medicare, private insurance, or no insurance at all.
