Community Health Center Hires Two New Medical Providers

MASHPEE – The Community Health Center of Cape Cod has hired two new providers to meet increasing demands for their patient services.

Kathleen Cornell of Hyannis is a Family Nurse Practitioner who is providing walk-in care in the Health Center’s Mashpee office.

She comes to the Cape from Saratoga Springs, New York, where she worked at Saratoga Schenectady Gastroenterology Associates.

She also worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Saratoga Hospital, treating patients with acute illnesses.

Emily Elgert of West Harwich is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Community Health Center of Cape Cod.

Prior to the Health Center, she worked as a nurse at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts in the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Program.

She also served as a Patient Care Assistant at Newton Wellesley Hospital in the Department of Orthopedics, and as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Walk-in care is provided at the Health Center’s Mashpee and Centerville offices for anyone who needs it. No appointment is necessary.
